- once you've inserted the text onto the page if you would like to stretch it out to the correct size, click on the text so the toolbar shows up
- click on the stretch layer icon
- you will notice that the layer is highlighted, click on the bottom right hand corner and drag to the right while holding down the left click button on your mouse
- practice until you get the desired result
- to change the properties of a particular text object click on the object once so the toolbar shows up
- click on the layer properties
- after editing apply your changes
Please note: if you would like to make a link you must do so by clicking on the object and clicking on the pencil icon
Layer properties for text objects are used primarily for making an object either a master object, reusable object or locking its position. In addition, you can also change the X , Y positioning of the object on the page [see below].
- choose the text that you would like to have show up on every page by clicking so you see the toolbar
- click on layer properties
- choose master object from the drop down at the bottom of the window
- apply changes [remember that this will make the object show up in the same position on every page in the website]
- think of the reusable object as a clipboard storing text objects that can be used over and over again such as navigation, disclaimers, copyright notices etc.
- click on text to be made the reusable object
- go to layer properties
- select from the drop-down reusable
- now you can reinsert this text as many times as needed by going to insert, clipboard, and the text will be listed and saved in one place, you can also edit the text one time and it will change everywhere on the website that the text shows up.
